By November 9, the Battalion reached present-day Truth or Consequences and by November 13 they camped near present-day Hatch, ready to leave the Rio Grande and proceed westerly. The map shows their progess for a few days in New Mexico--numbers in blue are days in November, 1846, where the Battalion camped.
