The Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum, Las Cruces

The 70,000 square foot Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum at 4100 Dripping Springs Road in Las Cruces is one of the most comprehensive agricultural museums in the United States. (Dripping Springs Road is an easterly extension of University Avenue just off I-10.)

Built in an  U  shape, the open portion of the  U   faces east towards the Organ Mountains. Entry to the museum is at the center of the base of the  U  into an entrance hall with fireplace, a gift shop, and a window wall framing the distant Organ Mountains.

The left wing contains two exhibition halls and offices and meetings rooms, while the right wing features an auditorium, additional meeting rooms, and a restaurant. There is a separate building housing exhibits dealing with milk and a shed for blacksmithing demonstrations.
