Tularosa High School
Tularosa is in the Tularosa Basin of southcentral New Mexico about 13
miles north of Alamogordo. To its west are the gypsum white sand dunes of
the White Sands National Monument--to the east are the Sacramento Mountains
with 12,000-foot Sierra Blanca peak and the Ski Apache Resort.
Tularosa High enrolls about 300 students. The Aerospace
class is unique and made possible through grants from the Center for
Teaching Excellence and NASA. This class takes advantage of the aerospace
facilities in the area such as White Sands Missle Range and
the International Space Hall of Fame.
